Good news: Three Gorges project signed

Recently, Taicang Zhongke Saino New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ben'an Energy, signed a supply agreement for sodium ion energy storage systems with Shanghai Survey and Design Institute. The signing of this project marks the commercial demonstration of Ben An's high safety sodium ion battery as a new type of battery energy storage technology in China. The owner of the project is China Three Gorges Corporation, located in the Three Gorges Modern Energy Demonstration Park in Ulanqab City, Inner Mongolia.

Introduction to the Three Gorges Ulanqab Source Network Load Storage Demonstration Base Project:

In order to promote the coordinated development of "source, network, load and storage" and build a benchmark for the development of modern energy economy in Inner Mongolia, China Three Gorges Group, together with more than 20 domestic scientific research institutions such as Tsinghua University, North China Electric Power University, Chinese Academy of Sciences and Tianjin University, carried out research and demonstration on key issues such as energy storage technology, grid connection technology, integrated dispatching technology and business model that need to be solved urgently in the current industry, designed and built 13 scientific research demonstration projects and 2 laboratories in Ulanqab, with a total investment of more than 1.5 billion yuan.

The "Source Grid Load Storage" technology research and development test base is one of the important measures taken by Three Gorges Group to respond to the "carbon neutrality" goal, actively explore the implementation path of "source grid load storage", solve the core problems in large-scale new energy grid integration and consumption, serve the strategic needs of the country's large-scale development of new energy, and promote China's energy transformation and economic and social development. Three Gorges Group has established a research and development experimental base for "source network load storage" technology, which integrates research and development functions, empirical functions, and application functions. It explores new energy system solutions for "source network load storage" and forms a replicable and promotable technical route and solution for the "source network load storage" new energy system.
